Malaysian chemist testifies in trial of two women accused of murdering the half-brother of North Korea’s leader

Traces of the banned VX nerve agent were found on two women being tried in Malaysia on charges of murdering the estranged half brother of North Korea’s leader, a government chemist has testified.

The testimony was the first evidence linking VX to the Indonesian defendant, Siti Aisyah, and Doan Thi Huong of Vietnam, who are accused of smearing the nerve agent on Kim Jong Nam’s face in a brazen assassination inside a crowded airport terminal in Kuala Lumpur in February.
